It was a beautiful night for harvesting!

Tonight Mary Jo Pesut, Denise Hlad and I went to the Three Brothers Community Garden to help them with the harvest.  They do it every Tuesday evening from 5 until 6:30.  It was really fun.  We picked zucchini, green beans, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and basil.  It is weighed, washed and bagged up right there on site.  Tomorrow morning this wonderful fresh produce is given away at the Irving Park Food Pantry to needy folks who often times do not have access to fresh produce.  It was fun and  was for a very good cause.  If you have an hour or so on a Tuesday why not stop by and help out.  It’ll make you feel good and you really will have done a good thing!
