Wilson Park Trees Need Water

Even with the recent storms,  the 162 trees in Wilson Park, Milwaukee and Wilson, still are suffering through this drought. The lack of water is making the trees susceptible to pests and disease.

Luckily, you can help. Volunteers are needed to help water the trees on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6 pm and 9 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays between 9 am and noon. They also need supplies such as hoses, sprinklers, handcarts, tree gators, hose reels, buckets and work gloves.

For more information on how you can help, call Park Supervisor Sher Hudak at (773) 685-6454. If you live adjacent to the park, please consider watering the nearby trees from your own connection, and please let Sher know which trees you are watering.
